Planning ahead for the 47th Oktoberfest Race Weekend

The 47th Annual Oktoberfest Race Weekend is quickly approaching, that before we know it, it will be upon us. Now is a good time to start planning on being at La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway in West Salem, Wisconsin on October 6, 7, 8, and 9.

The official website, oktoberfestraceweekend.com, has the latest information from tickets, lodging, camping, schedules and competitor information. The site will continue to be updated leading up to and during the famous four day event.

This year, there will be 17 different divisions competing over the four days. There is a very good chance that your racecar may fit into one of those 17 divisions. That way you can participate as a fan and as a competitor on the 5/8-mile or ¼-mile track or both. The competitor guide is available online right on the front page of the website.

Along with the competitor guide, the official fan guide is also now available to download on the front page of the website. Also, keep an eye out for an Oktoberfest representative to make an appearance at several tracks in the area to hand you your own personal copy.

For those planning on being there for all four days of racing, the website will have the latest information regarding camping at the fairgrounds to a complete list of hotels within a half hour of the track. Hotel rooms do fill up fast, so make your reservations today.

Most tickets will be available for sale each day at the track. Want to get advanced reserved tickets (Mega Ticket) you can order yours today by calling 608-786-1525. The Mega Ticket includes reserved seating in the turn one grandstand, post-race party admission, and a guarantee of a great seat. Ticket prices are Thursday: $20, Friday: $25, Saturday: $25, and Sunday: $25.

Multi-day wristbands are available at the box office only on race days starting on Thursday, October 6th. Multi-day ticket prices are: $90 (Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), $70 (Friday, Saturday, Sunday), $45 (Saturday, Sunday), $45 (Friday, Saturday), and $40 (Thursday, Friday).

Daily general admission ticket information is also available online under the “Fans” section of the website.

While the racing on the track will be the main headline, there are many popular things for fans to do while at Oktoberfest. Some of those activities include: Dean’s Satellite Camper Challenge, 2016 Champions Reception, Pet Costume Parade, live music on Friday and Saturday night from the band Pick 6, Pumpkin Coloring Contest, 2016 Fest Driver Autograph Session, and the popular memorabilia show.

Plus, you can’t forget the great food and beverages while visiting old friends and making new friends. Oktoberfest isn’t complete unless you have a pork chop and a Queen Anne’s apple.

Make your plans now to be a part of the 47th Annual Oktoberfest Race Weekend. Don’t miss out on 17 divisions over four days with the best fall foliage in the area as your backdrop.
