THANK YOU FOR BEING PART OF THIS GREAT RACING TRADITION!

As always, we would like to welcome you and your friends and family to the 54th running of the Oktoberfest Race Weekend. It has always been our goal to provide area race fans and race teams with a unique, fun and exciting stock car racing events in the upper Midwest. The Oktoberfest Race Weekend has provided thousands of folks with many great memories, and we expect this year to be no different if not better!

The history of this event dates back to 1970 as a two day race event in the 1970s and 1980’s. In the early 1990’s, it grew to three days and just a few years later became the four day tradition that still exists today. Further, fans are invited to stay with us in the popular camper village for up to a week. This year, starting on Monday October 2nd right through Monday, October 9th.

We as race fans now have access to multiple electronic means to watch our favorite drivers or race events at the palm of our hands. That is great….but it will never beat the real sounds, the real smells or the real drama that live racing provides. We welcome any and all guests to catch the Oktoberfest on their media device if they can not make it to the show(s). But it is hard to beat the real-life experience. Plus….Oktoberfest is racing’s family reunion…and it is a great chance to see old friends in the campground, or in the Grandstands.

17 Divisions…that is a lot of racing Divisions and that is a lot of race cars. This event is put together by race fans. We here at LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway are died in the wool race fans and we get to put together a race event that….well…race fans would want to see. That formula makes it fun for the fans and the race teams. That is why FEST is BEST!.

Of course, we couldn’t pass the opportunity to say thank you to all of you whom have attended and raced over the years at this annual event. It is all of you who help make the event so fun for everyone.
A thank you also must go out to several fundraising or volunteer groups that help us organize and put on the event. On behalf of them, and the many others that help put on the event, and the staff and management of LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway, WE THANK YOU.
