West Salem, WI- After a successful debut during the 50th annual Oktoberfest, it has been announced that the Gandrud Chevrolet Cratetoberfest Challenge will again return to the Sunday afternoon festivities of the 51st annual Oktoberfest Race Weekend at LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway October 8-11, 2020. Two brand new Chevrolet Performance CT350 ‘602 Crate’ engines will again be awarded, one to the race winner and the other by random draw in victory lane of all competitors participating in the Cratetoberfest event.
Nearly thirty competitors took to the 5/8 mile paved oval in 2019 Cratetoberfest action with Frank Kreyer receiving $1,000 and a new Chevrolet Performance CT350 602 Crate Engine from Gandrud Chevrolet. Dave Trute was the lucky recipient of the Bowtie Bonus, which awarded a second new 602 Crate Engine. Each engine is valued at just under $4,000.

This division is open to any race vehicle which utilizes the popular ‘602’ power plant. Midwest Trucks, Asphalt Modifieds, Sportsmen, 602 Late Models, Dirt Modifieds, Hobby Stocks, Mid-American Stock Cars and others are welcome.
Championship Sunday of the 51st Oktoberfest Race Weekend will feature the ARCA Midwest Tour Super Late Models in the Oktoberfest 200, CWRA Late Models and the Vintage Series in addition to the Gandrud Chevrolet Cratetoberfest Challenge.
