Latest information about the 52nd Annual Oktoberfest Race Weekend

We would like to welcome you and your friends and family to the 52nd Anniversary of the Oktoberfest Race Weekend. It is our goal to provide area race fans and racers one of the finest stock car racing events in the upper Midwest to be a part of. We hope that you go home with many memories that you can reflect on for years to come.

Oktoberfest started out as a two day race event in the 1970’s and 1980’s. In the early 1990’s, it grew to three days and just a few years later became the four day tradition that still exists today. Further, fans are invited to stay with us in the popular camper village for up to a week. This year, starting on Monday October 4th right through Monday, October 11th.

Oktoberfest is a racing event and experience that you cannot capture on an electronic device. It is something much more. It IS a real-life experience, one that leaves fans looking forward to the next year. Every year. It’s the chance to see old friends in the campground. Or in the Grandstands. The racing…. yes, it’s exciting. And there’s a LOT of it going on.

Are there lots of race cars in different styles, and classes? Sure, there are. But it is the camaraderie of the racing family that makes a big event like Oktoberfest so special. The racers can’t wait to get on the track. But wait… they also can’t wait to get off the track, so they can have a good time together either at the campground or the after race ‘festivities with family and friends. The fans are able to mingle in with the competitors after the events, unlike in other sports.

Of course, we couldn’t pass the opportunity to say thank you to all of you whom have attended and raced over the years at this annual event. It is all of you who help make the event so fun for everyone. A thank you also must go out to several fundraising or volunteer groups that help us organize and put on the event. On behalf of them, and the many others that help put on the event, and the staff and management of La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway, WE THANK YOU.

Of course, we couldn’t put on this event in 2020 without you, and your help. We ask that you please review the COVID-19 section with the FAQ Section on page 9.

If you have not been to Oktoberfest, ask your racing friends about it. Follow us on Facebook, or be sure to visit OktoberfestRaceWeekend.com for results and event information. Enjoy the racing, the foods, the festive atmosphere, and the fall colors! Most of all, enjoy one last hurrah of racing before the 2020 season is in the record books. And… by the way, don’t forget to mark your calendar for the
53rd Oktoberfest: Oct. 6- 7-8-9, 2022

Sincerely,
Staff & Management of LaCrosse Speedway
