Wehrs Machine Creates Special Trophies for Fest A big thank you to Wehrs Machine & Racing Products in Bangor, Wisconsin for creating three memorable trophies for this weekend’s 53rd Annual Oktoberfest Race Weekend at the La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway in West Salem, Wisconsin. The winner of the 15th running of the Dick Trickle “99” will receive a special cheese wedge trophy with a diecast of the famous White Night Super America Late Model on it. Trickle competed in the first one in 2007. This year’s event will happen on Friday night.
Also on Friday, the Area Sportsmen will be racing in honor of Rick Schermerhorn, a longtime La Crosse Speedway competitor who tragically passed away earlier this year. The special trophy has his famous number and color.
