Futures, Knights, Double Features and More a Week from Today at Fest

West Salem, WI – The 55th Annual Oktoberfest Race Weekend will open next Thursday, October 3rd at the La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway in West Salem, Wisconsin.

The opening night of racing will get underway at 6pm with the most divisions competing on one night over the four days of racing.

The Super Late Models will start of their busy four-day weekend with competitors competing in either the The Futures or The Knights 25-lap feature events.

The Futures feature event are for eligible drivers who are, “Open to Under the Age of 30 that have never finished in the top 3 of the Midwest Tour Points or anyone over 30 that have never run in a previous Oktoberfest 200, NASCAR Touring/ASAMT/ASA/ARTGO or any of

NASCAR’s top three Series. Driver Registration Subject to Approval.

The Knights feature is open to “Open to all Non Futures eligible drivers.”

Both of the winners in The Futures and The Knights event will earn, at least, a provisional starting spot for Friday night’s Dick Trickle “99”.

The La Crosse Kwik Trip Late Models will be busy on Thursday and Friday as they will have two 20-lap feature events each night. Jacob Goede will be coming into Fest with a 5-point lead over Skylar Holzhausen in the championship standings.

In the La Crosse Sportsmen division and their title will be decided on Thursday night. 100 points separate Bob Fort and Justin Berg in the standings. They will have a 20-lap feature event Thursday of Fest.

The La Crosse Skyline Fireworks Hornets will also have a 20-lap feature to decide their championship. Jimmy Bjorkman holds a 11-point lead over Christopher Lofquist in the standings.

Steve Brasda holds a 6-point lead over John Huebner in the La Crosse Auto Value Street Stocks leading up to their championship 20-lap feature event.

The final event of the evening will be the Famous Double-O race. This unique 12-lap event will see cars compete back and forth around the 5/8-mile oval and the 1/4-mile oval.

Qualifying gets underway at 2:45pm on Thursday with racing underway at 6pm.
