West Salem, WI- Local racing supporter Nuttleman Grain Cleaning has offered a $1,000 bonus to be split amongst the four NASCAR Kwik Trip Late Model Drivers with the best average finishes in the four Oktoberfest features scheduled for the division Thursday and Friday night, October 8 and 9, 2020. Preliminary indications are that over thirty weekly late model teams will be gunning for the bonus during the opening two days of the four day 51st Oktoberfest Race Weekend at LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway. The driver with the best average finish will be recognized as the Nuttleman Grain Cleaning Fest Master and garner the $400 top prize.
With eight drivers recording feature victories this season, the field is wide open as to who is favored to take home their share of the bonus money offered by the nine time La Crosse track champion, driver of the #4 Kevin Nuttleman and his family’s nearby grain cleaning business. Current point leader and last year’s Fest Dick Trickle 99 winner Nick Murgic leads all drivers with three wins. Former Oktoberfest winners Brent Kirchner and Steve Carlson as well as 2019 NASCAR Weekly National Champion Jacob Goede have each garnered two feature wins while Billy Mohn, Steve Bachman, Mike Carlson and Matthew Henderson each have one feature checkered flag in 2020.
