Popularity of Six Cylinder Racing to be on Display at Oktoberfest

West Salem, WI- In what is a relatively new racing division in the upper Midwest, the local Auto Value Street Stocks will be joined by six cylinder racers from across the region during the 51st Oktoberfest Race Weekend which begins on Thursday night October 8, 2020 at LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway.  Drivers from four local tracks have already filed their entries for Thursday night’s 20 lap feature event on the quarter mile oval.

With weekly car counts into the thirties and even forties at tracks that have adopted the regionally accepted six cylinder rules, the Street Stock (6shooters, Original Sixers) division has become a popular entry level division over the past five seasons.  Now in its third year as part of Oktoberfest, more and more drivers have the annual year end racing festival marked on their racing calendars.  Matt Moore leads Chris Larson and 2019 Fest winner Dan Frye heading into the Championship feature at Oktoberfest.
